Weego Raises $1.1 Million to Expand Integrated Mobility Solutions Across Africa and Beyond

Weego, a Moroccan–Senegalese mobility startup, has raised USD 1.1 million in a new funding round led by early-stage venture capital firm Azur Innovation Fund, to accelerate its regional expansion and strengthen its technology-driven mobility infrastructure.

Founded in 2020 by Saad Jittou and Mor Niane, Weego offers a Mobility as a Service (MAAS) application that integrates various transportation options within a single digital platform. The app enables users to plan, book, and track journeys in real time, combining public transit, ride-sharing services, and other transport modes into one unified interface. The platform bridges fragmented urban mobility systems through data coordination and integration.

Weego Co-founder and CEO, Saad Jittou, stated:
“ Transportation is the primary obstacle to economic activity, and we are building the technological layer that will make infrastructure more efficient,”

Beyond consumer mobility, the company provides WeegoLines, a corporate staff transportation solution that enables companies to transport employees to and from work in a more efficient, cost-effective, and reliable manner. This enterprise-focused model strengthens Weego’s role within corporate mobility ecosystems.

With the newly secured capital, the company aims to:

  • Accelerate expansion into additional Moroccan cities
  • Strengthen transport solutions for corporate clients
  • Scale its multimodal mobility platform
  • Prepare for market entry across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East

Weego positions itself as a digital layer embedded within urban mobility systems, adding structure, visibility, and operational efficiency to fragmented transport networks through advanced data coordination.
