Kast Raises $80 Million in New Funding Round to Expand Stablecoin-Powered Payments

KAST, a stablecoin-powered financial platform focused on cross-border payments, raised $80 million in a new funding round, boosting its valuation to around $600 million, signaling growing investor interest in crypto-based digital payment infrastructure.

The round was led by QED Investors and Left Lane Capital. The company plans to use the funding to accelerate expansion across North America, Latin America, and the Middle East, grow its team, develop new products, and secure necessary regulatory licenses.

Building a Global Payments Platform with Stablecoins:
KAST is developing a platform that enables faster and lower-cost cross-border payments using dollar-linked stablecoins. The platform allows users to hold digital dollar balances, send funds globally, and spend locally through market-compatible payment systems, leveraging the rapid adoption of stablecoins for international payments.

A Massive Market Still in Its Early Stages:
While stablecoins have become a key part of digital asset markets, their use in daily payments remains limited. Estimates indicate that total stablecoin transactions exceeded $35 trillion last year, yet only about 1% represented real-world payments such as remittances or payroll. Investors see this gap as a major opportunity for fintech companies to build new global payment infrastructure.

Rapid Growth:
Since launching its platform just 18 months ago, KAST has attracted over 1 million users and processed approximately $5 billion in annualized transaction volume, with revenues doubling since the end of 2025. The company expects annual revenue to reach around $100 million this year as it expands its services globally.
