Humans& Raises $480M Seed Round at $4.48B Valuation

Humans&, a U.S.-based startup focused on building an advanced artificial intelligence lab, has raised $480 million in a seed funding round, valuing the company at $4.48 billion, marking one of the largest seed rounds ever raised by an early-stage company.

The round was led by SV Angel, founded by Ron Conway, with participation from prominent investors including Jeff Bezos, Nvidia, and Alphabet’s venture capital arm, GV.

Humans& said it plans to collaborate with Nvidia across both hardware and software, as the chipmaker continues to position itself as a key backer of AI startups amid surging global demand for its computing infrastructure.

The company aims to develop AI systems capable of planning and learning over longer time horizons, working alongside other AI systems, and retaining memory of past interactions, while tightly integrating research with product development.

Founded last year, Humans& was established by Georges Harik, alongside researchers from leading AI labs, including Eric Zelikman and Yuchen He from xAI, Andi Peng from Anthropic, and Noah D. Goodman, formerly of Google DeepMind.

The massive seed round underscores growing investor interest in next-generation AI labs founded by experienced researchers seeking to move beyond chatbots and agentic tools.
