Exits MENA Acquires Avanz Capital Egypt in Multi-Seven-Figure Deal to Expand Private Equity and Asset Management Capabilities

Cairo-based investment platform and advisory firm Exits MENA has acquired Avanz Capital Egypt in a multi-seven-figure transaction, expanding its regional platform with capabilities across private equity and asset management.
The agreement was signed with Avanz Capital Egypt’s local management and has received initial approval from Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority. Under the transaction, Avanz Capital Egypt will transition into Exits Manara, the group’s private capital and asset management subsidiary.
Avanz Capital Egypt’s existing management team, led by CEO and Managing Director Haytham Wagih, will remain in place and continue overseeing operations and investments. The structure also maintains management ownership, with Dr. Nader Elsayed joining as a shareholder and Executive Director, while Masa Arafa continues as Investment Director with ownership alignment.
Wagih said: “Our team remains in place and will continue to expand. Our investment process remains unchanged. With Exits MENA, we now have a broader regional platform behind us while developing the way we manage the firm and its portfolio.”
Founded in 2022 by Mohamed Abuelnaga Nagaty, Ayman El Tanbouly and Ahella El Saban, Exits MENA focuses on startups and SMEs and operates across more than seven global markets. The company says it has advised on more than 15 investment transactions and 45 consultancy engagements, while supporting over 2,000 businesses across the region.
The acquisition brings advisory, private equity and asset management under the same group, while maintaining separation between advisory mandates and investment decision-making.
Exits Manara will continue managing Manara 1, a fund of funds focused on SMEs, and plans to establish Manara 2 for Export Investments, targeting mid-sized exporting companies seeking to expand into international markets.
