AppliedAI Secures Pre-Series B Funding to Accelerate Global Expansion of Its Enterprise AI Platform “Opus”

AppliedAI, the Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence startup developing AI-native workflow solutions for regulated industries, has announced the successful completion of a Pre-Series B funding round led by the MENA Venture Capital Fund at Mubadala Investment Company, alongside Arbor Ventures, a global venture capital investor.
The investment will support the global scale-up of AppliedAI’s enterprise AI platform, Opus, designed to power mission-critical operations across highly regulated environments.
The Pre-Series B reflects a shared conviction that the next phase of AI adoption will be defined by operational trust, measurable productivity, and global deployability, rather than experimentation. The backing further reinforces AppliedAI’s position as an emerging private-sector AI national champion in Abu Dhabi.
Launched in 2025, Opus enables large organisations to redesign, automate, and supervise complex operational processes in sectors such as healthcare, insurance, banking, energy, and government. The platform combines agentic AI with human oversight, auditability, and security, enabling enterprises to achieve sustained productivity gains while maintaining full governance and control.
Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, AppliedAI employs over 350 professionals and has active deployments across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, positioning the company among the UAE’s most established exporters of enterprise AI technology. Most Opus pilots have transitioned into production environments, where accuracy, resilience, and compliance are essential.
As global AI adoption accelerates, the constraint has shifted from model capability to institutional readiness. AppliedAI addresses this challenge by delivering systems capable of operating within real regulatory and operational boundaries while producing measurable economic impact.
For the UAE, the investment underscores a broader ambition to enable private-sector-led enterprise technology platforms that complement national AI initiatives and extend Abu Dhabi’s role as a global hub for applied innovation.
