Turkish Gaming Studio Mindtail Raises $2 Million to Build AI-Powered Games

Turkish gaming studio Mindtail has raised $2 million in a Pre-Seed funding round aimed at developing AI-powered games and expanding to a global audience, amid growing momentum around the use of artificial intelligence in the gaming industry.

The round was led by APY Ventures, with participation from Inveo Ventures and Ak Portföy, highlighting investor confidence in the founding team and the studio’s AI-first approach to game development.

Mindtail was founded by R. Tamer Ozgen, Umut Yildiz, Sarper Karabag, and Doguscan Ozturk — developers with previous experience at leading gaming studios including Dream Games, King, Tactile Games, Ace Games, and Codeway.

The founding team previously contributed to globally recognized titles such as Royal Match, Candy Crush Soda Saga, and Lily’s Garden, which collectively reached hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

The funding round reflects rising investor interest in studios leveraging artificial intelligence to create scalable and next-generation gaming experiences for international markets.
