Saudi Arabia Targets SAR 500 Million Investment to Empower AI and Emerging Tech Startups

The Digital Government Authority in Saudi Arabia (DGA) and investment company STV have announced a partnership aimed at investing up to SAR 500 million to empower startups working in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, develop solutions for government services, and test them within a secure government innovation environment in preparation for broader adoption.

Under the memorandum, STV targets investments of up to SAR 500 million in promising companies emerging from the programs of the Authority’s Innovation Center, while connecting startups to the real challenges faced by government entities.

The partnership includes attracting, hosting, and qualifying companies, implementing proof-of-concept (PoC) experiments, and supporting the transition of successful solutions from the testing phase to actual use within the government system.
