Positive Zero Lands $375M Financing Deal to Power Clean Energy Growth Across the Gulf

UAE’s Positive Zero, a player in the sustainable energy transition space, has secured a $375 million financing facility to fuel the expansion of its distributed solar, energy efficiency, and clean mobility project portfolio across the Gulf.
The facility was structured through a partnership between Natixis Corporate & Investment Bankingand the Arab Energy Fund, positioning the deal as one of the region’s largest clean energy financings, given its coverage of a diversified mix of assets and projects under a single funding structure.
Setting the Stage for Regional Growth
The company intends to channel the funds toward scaling operations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar, while advancing new infrastructure projects and unlocking additional capital investment.
The deal underscores the rising appetite among financial institutions and investors for sustainable energy ventures in the region, as Gulf economies push to diversify their energy mix and cut carbon output.
This facility builds on a prior $400 million funding round led by BlackRock last year — at the time, the largest capital raise in the company’s history.
A Portfolio Exceeding 500 Megawatts
Positive Zero currently oversees a project portfolio surpassing 500 megawatts of distributed solar capacity spread across GCC markets.
The company reports that these projects have offset more than 450,000 metric tons of carbon emissions annually, contributing to the region’s broader sustainability and net-zero ambitions.
Its energy efficiency offerings have further enabled clients to save upward of 100 million kilowatt-hours, through smarter energy management and improved operational asset performance.
Advancing the Region’s Energy Shift
The company delivers end-to-end solutions that allow businesses to pivot toward more sustainable energy sources without shouldering heavy upfront capital costs.
The fresh capital is expected to speed up delivery of renewable energy, efficiency, and clean transport projects, reinforcing the company’s footprint in Gulf markets increasingly hungry for cost- and emissions-cutting solutions.
