PlaysOut, a UAE-based startup specializing in mini-game development, has announced the closing of a $7 million Seed funding round, raising the company’s valuation to $70 million.
The round was backed by prominent investors, including KBW Ventures, OKX Ventures, and Pacific Century Group. funds raised in this round will be used to achieve three key objectives:
Founded in 2024 by Jassem Osseiran, PlaysOut provides a game engine and software packages that enable developers to create and launch mini-games that can be seamlessly integrated into popular platforms like Telegram and Discord.
The company aims to enhance user experience by offering interactive mini-games within the apps people use daily.
Jassem Osseiran, Co-Founder of PlaysOut, stated:
“This funding gives us the firepower to double down on what matters — building high-quality mini-games, scaling our ecosystem, and locking in key partnerships with super apps. We’re creating a seamless, engaging way for users to interact with mini-games inside the apps they already use daily. This capital gets us there faster.”
The investors in this round bring more than just funding; they provide strategic advantages that accelerate PlaysOut’s growth across different industries. For example, OKX Ventures offers support in the Web3 space, helping the company refine its token strategy and reach a massive crypto-native audience.
Mini-games are one of the fastest-growing sectors in the global gaming industry, with the market projected to be worth $6-10 billion. PlaysOut is working to provide the necessary infrastructure to facilitate the publishing and monetization of mini-games, positioning itself as a key player in this space.
PlaysOut plans to strengthen its global presence by expanding its operations and developing new partnerships. The company also aims to deliver more interactive and engaging mini-game experiences, enhancing user engagement and creating new revenue opportunities.
