SHAHID Surpasses SAR 1 Billion in Revenue for 2024, Cementing Its Position as the Leading Streaming Platform in MENA

SHAHID, the streaming platform owned by MBC Group, has surpassed SAR 1 billion in revenue in 2024, reinforcing its position as the largest Arabic streaming platform and the top entertainment platform in the Middle East and North Africa in terms of revenue and user base.

According to the latest figures, active users have reached 19 million, with subscription revenues totaling SAR 868 million and advertising revenues amounting to SAR 186 million. SHAHID now accounts for 26% of MBC Group’s total revenue.

This performance highlights the growing demand for Arabic content and Shahid’s vital role in driving digital entertainment across the region, especially amid intensifying global competition in the streaming space

The financial results for Q4 2024 showed revenues of SAR 1.2 billion, reflecting a 16.7% increase compared to the same period last year, while net profit for the quarter reached SAR 175.6 million.

Annual gross profit rose to SAR 1.2 billion, marking a 30.7% increase, driven by improved financial performance of the SHAHID platform and the implementation of stringent cost management strategies across various sectors.

SHAHID continued to strengthen its position as the largest digital streaming platform in the Middle East and North Africa, achieving significant financial progress in 2024. The platform’s losses decreased by 53.8% year-over-year.
