Hassana Investment Company, the investment arm of Saudi Arabia’s Public Pension Agency, has announced the acquisition of a 40% stake in Berain Water from Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Rajhi & Sons Investment Company (Al Rajhi Investment).
Berain Water is one of the leading companies in the bottled drinking water market in Saudi Arabia, operating three production facilities in Riyadh and Jeddah, along with 24 retail outlets across the Kingdom.
The financial value of the deal was not disclosed, but the statement issued by Hassana Investment Company indicated that this acquisition marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between Hassana and Al Rajhi Investment.
This move aligns with Hassana’s long-term strategy, which focuses on investing in high-performing companies in the consumer products sector with stable cash flows and strong market fundamentals.
