Khazna, an Egyptian company specializing in providing financial solutions for underbanked populations, has announced the closure of a $16 million Pre-Series B funding round.
The round was led by the Sand for Small and Medium Enterprises Fund and ANB Seed Fund from ANB Capital, with participation from investors such as AlJazira Capital, Khwarizmi Ventures, Nclude, Quona Capital, ICU Ventures, Speedinvest, and DisrupTech Ventures.
The company will use the funds to apply for a digital bank license in Egypt and expand its services to Saudi Arabia. Khazna was founded in 2020 by Omar Saleh, Ahmed Wagueeh, Omar Salah, and Fatma El Shenawy.
