India’s Cashfree Payments Secures $53 Million to Strengthen Middle East Expansion

Indian digital payments company Cashfree has raised $53 million in a funding round led by South Korea’s KRAFTON Inc. and Apis Growth Fund II.

Part of this funding will support the company’s expansion plans in the UAE and the broader Middle East region, where digital payment services are rapidly growing.

Cashfree operates in the Middle East through its partnership with UAE-based Telr, in which it acquired a majority stake for $15 million in November 2021.

provides online payment collection and cross-border payment solutions, integrated seamlessly with platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, and WhatsApp.
