talabat, the leading online food delivery and shopping platform, has announced the completion of its acquisition of InstaShop for $32 million. The deal includes 100% of InstaShop’s shares, previously owned by Delivery Hero.
talabat reported that InstaShop’s gross merchandise value (GMV) in 2024 reached $631 million, compared to $454 million in 2023, reflecting significant growth.
Founded in 2015, InstaShop is headquartered in the UAE and currently operates in Egypt and the UAE.
This acquisition follows talabat’s recent listing on the Dubai Financial Market, where its market value exceeded $10 billion.
The move is seen as a strategic step to strengthen talabat’s presence in the online shopping sector and expand its services across the region.
