DeHaat Honest Farms Raises $3.66M Pre-Series A to Expand Pesticide-Free Food Business in India

Indian pesticide-free food brand DeHaat Honest Farms has raised crore US$3.66 million in a Pre-Series A funding round, as the company looks to expand its geographic footprint and broaden its consumer product portfolio.
The round was led by OTP Ventures, with participation from Sadev Capital and Maiuni Ventures. Alongside the financing, the company has appointed DeHaat co-founder Adarsh J. Srivastava as its new Chief Executive Officer, positioning him to lead Honest Farms through its next phase of growth.
Launched by agritech company DeHaat, Honest Farms focuses on bringing pesticide-free food to Indian consumers through a supply chain directly connected to farmers. The fresh capital will support the company’s entry into additional markets, wider consumer reach and efforts to build greater awareness around food sourcing and pesticide-free products.
Expanding Distribution and Product Portfolio
DeHaat Honest Farms plans to use the Pre-Series A capital to expand geographically and reach more consumers across India. Product development will also remain a key part of its growth strategy as the company responds to rising consumer interest in food products offering greater transparency around sourcing, production and quality.
The brand differentiates itself through its connection to DeHaat’s agricultural network, which includes more than 13 million farmers. This infrastructure provides Honest Farms with access to farm-sourced products while connecting agricultural producers more directly with end consumers.
According to the company, every Honest Farms product undergoes more than 230 quality checks and carries a pesticide-free certificate. The approach is designed to provide consumers with greater visibility into where their food comes from and how it is produced.
Building a Consumer Brand on DeHaat’s Farm Network
Honest Farms represents a consumer-facing extension of DeHaat’s broader agricultural ecosystem.
While DeHaat’s core agritech business provides farmers with technology, agricultural products and services, Honest Farms operates at the other end of the value chain by selling food products directly to consumers.
This structure gives the brand an established agricultural sourcing network as it works to build a stronger presence in India’s consumer food market.
The company is positioning transparency and traceability as central elements of its proposition, targeting consumers seeking clearer information about food quality and production practices.
Its expansion strategy will combine this sourcing infrastructure with wider distribution and an expanding product range, enabling the company to develop a more diversified pesticide-free food portfolio.
New Leadership for the Next Growth Phase
The appointment of Adarsh J. Srivastava as CEO comes as Honest Farms enters a more aggressive expansion phase following its latest financing.
As a DeHaat co-founder, Srivastava brings direct experience from the agritech platform behind Honest Farms and its extensive farmer network. He will oversee the deployment of the new capital across geographic expansion, product development and consumer awareness.
The Rs 35 crore investment provides Honest Farms with additional resources to develop its consumer business while continuing to leverage DeHaat’s agricultural infrastructure.
With OTP Ventures, Sadev Capital and Maiuni Ventures backing the Pre-Series A round, the company will now focus on expanding its market presence and product offering while strengthening its position in India’s pesticide-free food segment.
