Airwallex Appoints Ravi Aditya as CFO to Support Next Growth Phase

Airwallex, the Australian fintech and global payments company, has appointed Ravi Aditya as its new Chief Financial Officer, marking another strategic step as the company prepares for its next phase of growth while market expectations continue to point toward a potential future initial public offering (IPO).

The appointment comes as Airwallex continues expanding its global operations following rapid growth in its cross-border payments and business financial accounts, strengthening its position in the global fintech sector.

In his new role, Ravi Aditya will oversee the company's financial operations, with responsibility for improving financial performance, managing finance functions, and supporting international expansion initiatives, drawing on his extensive experience leading finance organizations across technology companies.

He will also lead efforts to build a financial structure aligned with the company's next growth stage, strengthen corporate governance, and enhance readiness for the regulatory requirements of publicly listed companies, making this one of Airwallex's most significant executive appointments this year.

Airwallex stated that the CFO appointment forms part of its long-term preparations, while discussions around a potential IPO continue, subject to favorable market conditions. The company emphasized that its current priority remains accelerating growth, expanding its customer base, and maintaining readiness for future listing opportunities.

Over recent years, Airwallex has expanded its international footprint through solutions including cross-border payments, multi-currency accounts, expense management, and financial services for businesses, while strengthening its presence across Asia, Europe, and the Americas through continued investment in technology infrastructure and strategic partnerships.

The appointment reflects a broader trend across the fintech industry, where companies continue strengthening executive leadership teams in preparation for future expansion, capital market opportunities, and increased investment amid growing demand for faster and more efficient digital financial services.
