44.01 Omani Company Raises $5 Million in Investment Round to Expand Its Climate Technologies

44.01, the Omani climate tech company, has announced securing an additional $5 million in a Series A investment round, bringing the total funding in this round to $42 million.
The round included participation from Nysnø Climate Investments, a Norwegian fund, and Journalists Joussour Ventures, along with other investors such as Equinor Ventures and the Amazon Climate Fund.
The company aims to expand its technology globally, focusing on converting carbon into minerals to help protect the climate.
The company won the Earthshot Prize in 2022, and its “Hajer” project in the UAE was selected as one of the top 20 projects in the XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition.
