Career Journey and Clinical Expertise
Dr. Al-Fayyadh’s medical background is rooted in Pediatric Cardiology, holding a fellowship from Columbia University, New York, preceded by a Pediatric Fellowship from Tufts University, Boston. He also earned a Master’s in Medical Management from the University of Southern California in 2015. His research has been recognized with multiple grants, including the Harvard Medical Research Foundation Grant for a multi-center international study on the genetic causes of congenital heart defects. Before becoming CEO, he held several key positions at KFSH&RC, including: – Deputy CEO for Medical and Clinical Affairs – overseeing medical departments, pharmacy, patient services, and health IT applications – Deputy Director – King Faisal Specialist Hospital Heart Center – Executive Lead – Cardiology Information Systems Project He also served as an Advisor at the Vision Realization Office – Ministry of Health, and is currently a member of the Health Sector Transformation Program Committee under the National Transformation Program, part of Saudi Vision 2030.
