Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — TabSense, a Saudi-based startup, announced the successful closure of a $5 million funding round led by Jasoor Ventures, marking a significant step forward in transforming the global restaurant technology landscape through agentic AI-powered Point of Sale (PoS) systems.
Founded in 2024, TabSense is redefining how restaurants operate by introducing the world’s first agentic PoS system — powered by intelligent AI agents that act as digital employees, enabling restaurants and cafés to scale efficiently without compromising on quality or operational control.
Unlike traditional PoS systems that merely record transactions, TabSense employs autonomous AI agents that streamline operations, optimize menus, automate management tasks, and deliver real-time, actionable insights. The platform currently serves multi-branch and franchise restaurants and cafés across Saudi Arabia and Jordan, with plans to expand both regionally and internationally.
“We built TabSense to give restaurant operators more than just a PoS — we built an intelligent teammate,” said Mohammed Jaber, Co-founder of TabSense. “Our AI agents handle the complex, time-consuming aspects of management — from menu optimization and product recommendations to understanding customer behavior — allowing owners to focus on growth and quality.”
“TabSense stands at the forefront of AI-powered transformation in hospitality, reshaping how the industry operates and engages with customers,” said Sara Ebeid, Investment Manager at Jasoor Ventures. “We are pleased to support the team in further developing their technology, expanding into new markets, and unlocking new use cases.”
With over 1,000 clients already using TabSense, strategic partnerships with STC and Zain, and integrations with major financial institutions, the company is well-positioned for exponential growth across the MENA region and beyond.
The newly secured funding will be used to accelerate product innovation, expand regional sales, and strengthen TabSense’s full-stack engineering and AI teams to further advance its agentic intelligence capabilities — pushing the boundaries of how AI can redefine the restaurant experience.
