Intella, the market leader in Arabic speech intelligence, today announced it has closed an oversubscribed $12.5M Series A round led by Prosus Ventures, with participation from 500 Global, Wa’ed Ventures, Hala Ventures, Idrisi Ventures, and HearstLab.
The funding will accelerate Intella’s mission to power a digital AI workforce across the Arabic-speaking world, doubling down on R&D, product expansion, and regional hiring in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Founded in 2021 by CEO Nour Taher and CTO Omar Mansour, Intella has established itself as a leader in enterprise-grade transcription, analytics, and AI-driven customer engagement across more than 25 Arabic dialects. Its proprietary speech-to-text models achieved a global record accuracy of 95.73%, enabling localized and human-like conversations at scale.
“Our vision has always been to bridge the gap between global AI advancements and the Arabic-speaking world,” said Nour Taher, CEO of Intella. “This funding from Prosus validates our technology and market leadership, allowing us to accelerate our mission.”
“This round is a catalyst for our roadmap,” added Omar Mansour, CTO of Intella. “We’re building Arabic-first conversational agents capable of contextual, multi-turn dialogue—redefining enterprise engagement.”
Intella also unveiled Ziila, its Arabic-born digital human, in a debut partnership with Jumia, powering a new voice-ordering feature. With total funding now exceeding $16.9M, Intella is set to expand its presence across finance, telecom, and government sectors in MENA.
