TIME magazine has unveiled its annual TIME100 AI 2025 list, highlighting the world’s most influential innovators, decision-makers, and pioneers in artificial intelligence. This year, the list features three prominent Arab figures, underscoring the region’s growing impact on shaping the future of technology.

  • Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan: UAE National Security Advisor and Chairman of G42, spearheading Abu Dhabi’s efforts to become a global hub for advanced technologies, with major investments in AI, big data, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Tarek Amin: CEO of HUMAIN, backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). HUMAIN represents one of the Kingdom’s largest AI initiatives, focusing on innovative platforms and solutions to position Saudi Arabia as a global leader in the sector.
  • Heidi Khlaif: A distinguished Arab scientist and researcher, serving as Chief AI Scientist at the AI Now Institute in the U.S., where her work centers on the ethical and social dimensions of AI, influencing global technology policies.

The inclusion of these three names demonstrates that the Arab world is no longer a recipient of technology but an active contributor shaping its trajectory—from Abu Dhabi and Riyadh to leading international research institutions.
