Saudi Arabia Launches HUMAIN Chat the First Arabic AI Chatbot

HUMAIN, owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has officially launched HUMAIN Chat in Riyadh, the first AI-powered interactive chatbot fully dedicated to Arabic speakers.

The model was trained on over 8 petabytes of data, including 380 billion Arabic words and 390,000 books, with the contribution of more than 120 AI specialists. This ensures high accuracy, cultural fluency, and trusted Arabic content generation.

Key features include:

  • Authentic Saudi Identity: Built entirely in the Kingdom, aligned with cultural and religious values.
  • Unprecedented Linguistic Superiority: Supports Modern Standard Arabic and 26 local and regional dialects.
  • Responsible AI & Safety: Integrated safeguards for privacy and Islamic values.
  • Robust Infrastructure: Runs on 19,000 language processing units in Dammam, reducing operational costs by 60%.
  • Global Recognition: Ranked #1 in Arabic MMLU benchmark for generative Arabic models.
  • Global Integration: Available via IBM Watsonx, Hugging Face, and Microsoft Azure.

Commenting on the launch, Tareq Amin, CEO of Humain, stated:

The app is now available on web, iOS, and Android across Saudi Arabia, with regional and global expansion planned, reinforcing the Kingdom’s ambition to become a global leader in AI innovation.
