UAE-based HR technology company Professional.me, an AI-powered platform redefining how companies hire and manage top talent, has announced the closing of a $3.1 million seed funding round led by Raha Beach Ventures, bringing its total funding to $4.6 million.
Unlike traditional recruitment platforms that rely on static résumés and generic job descriptions, Professional.me introduces tailored micro-LLMs — individually trained for both employers and professionals — capable of understanding deep context and nuances to enable smarter, faster, and more human hiring decisions.
Founded by Ryan Adams, Megan Adams, and Matt Schmid in 2024, the company has since:
- Created and customized over 300,000 professional profiles
- Built a rapidly growing user base across Europe, the UK, and MENA
- Attracted over 138,000 followers on professional networks
- Earned sector recognition including the GITEX Europe AI Everything Global Award and the Bronze Stevie® Award for Technology Excellence
“We’re not digitizing résumés — we’re replacing them entirely,” said Ryan Adams, CEO of Professional.me. “Every company and candidate gets a context-aware micro-LLM that understands what truly drives success, beyond titles and keywords.”
The platform addresses a critical gap in recruitment: reliance on incomplete or outdated résumés and job descriptions often results in superficial matches and missed opportunities. To overcome this, Professional.me collects deeper, structured data:
- For employers: Analyzes organizational structures, team dynamics, business unit goals, and historical hiring outcomes, creating predictive success profiles benchmarked against industry peers.
- For professionals: Captures both public signals (portfolios, published work, thought leadership, peer recognition) and private indicators (continuous learning, internal impact, mentorship, certifications, industry engagement), expanding the depth of a résumé tenfold.
The platform integrates seamlessly with existing ATS systems, enriching recruitment workflows with AI-powered shortlists, real-time skill extraction, and context-aware matching.
Since its October 2024 launch, Professional.me has trained its AI models on hundreds of millions of data points spanning 167 industries and 1.2 million tasks. The company’s globally distributed team, representing 14 nationalities across three continents, is majority-female, reflecting its commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusive innovation.
“We’re rethinking hiring from the ground up — not by adding filters, but by restructuring how information is captured and understood,” added Adams. “AI should make hiring smarter, more inclusive, and more human.”
With the new funding, Professional.me will expand its engineering team, strengthen data and research partnerships, and scale its reach to employers across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.
