The Madinah Regional Municipality, in collaboration with DeepMinds Holdings, has unveiled the groundbreaking “Madinah Venture Studio” — an initiative set to establish Madinah as a world-class hub for purpose-driven ventures. Focused on DeepTech, Artificial Intelligence (AI), HealthTech, Sustainability, ESG, and other high-impact sectors, the Studio is built to create and scale companies with exceptional efficiency, aligning seamlessly with the transformative goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The launch was marked by a signing ceremony attended by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Abdulmajid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Esteemed Founding Member of DeepMinds KSA, alongside other founding partners in the Kingdom. Their collective presence reflects a unified commitment to harnessing Saudi expertise and highlights a strong belief in the entrepreneurial potential of both Madinah and the Kingdom.
Created in response to fast-paced population growth, the rising need for smart urban services, and the demand for adaptive infrastructure, the initiative is designed to attract innovators and entrepreneurs from across the globe. The vision is to transform ideas into real-world projects that deliver economic, social, and environmental value.
Serving as a venture-building powerhouse, Madinah Venture Studio links the city’s local talent, business leaders, and government bodies with an international network of innovators who share a genuine connection to Madinah. Welcoming millions of visitors annually, the city now offers a platform where purposeful ideas can be nurtured and realized — for Madinah, in Madinah, and for the world.
DeepMinds brings to the Studio a full suite of venture-building capabilities, including DeepTech scientists, AI engineers, industry specialists, and serial entrepreneurs. These resources are supported by its proprietary hybrid-agentic venture-building framework, proven to localize technology and accelerate the creation of ventures with lasting impact.
At the heart of the Studio lies DeepMinds’ circular innovation cycle — identifying growth-minded individuals, generating and refining concepts, validating business models, enabling tech transfer and training, building sustainable ventures, investing in them, scaling operations, and reinvesting to maintain a self-sustaining innovation ecosystem rooted in Madinah.
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Dr. Mohammed Khalaf Al-Ghamdi, Deputy to His Excellency the Mayor of Madinah for Transformation and Strategy, commented:
