IndiaBonds raises $3.77M in maiden external funding round to expand digital bond platform

IndiaBonds, a SEBI-registered online bond platform, has secured ₹32.5 crore (US $3.77 million) in its maiden external funding round, backed by a curated group of marquee individual investors from the investment and technology sectors.

Co-founder Vishal Goenka described the raise as a “friends-and-associates” round that brings not only capital but also strategic guidance critical for the company’s scale-up phase.

“This milestone underscores the vast untapped potential in the democratisation of India’s bond markets and keeps us on a high-growth trajectory,” he noted.

Founded in 2021 by Goenka and Aditi Mittal, IndiaBonds provides retail and institutional investors with direct access to fixed-income instruments—including corporate bonds, government securities, and digital fixed deposits.

To enhance transparency, the platform has introduced innovations such as a Bond Yield Calculator and a public Bond Directory, simplifying fixed-income investing for individuals.
