ShipBee, a Qatar-based logistics startup redefining digital shipping experiences, has announced the successful closure of its Pre-Seed funding round worth QR855,000 (approx. $235,000). The round was led by GrowthX, with participation from angel investors, alongside a QR150,000 contribution by the founding team.

ShipBee’s mission is to streamline logistics across Qatar and the wider MENA region using AI-powered digital infrastructure. The platform provides:

  • Comprehensive local and international delivery services
  • A smart logistics marketplace
  • Driver and user apps
  • Custom SaaS tools for business clients

Founded in March 2024 by Tamer Raafat and Amer Azani, the company has quickly attracted major partnerships, including Snoonu, Qatar Post, DHL, and China’s AI logistics firm NEXX, along with several local retail players.

Dr. Allan Villegas, a senior figure at QSTP, has joined ShipBee’s board as an independent member, reinforcing the company’s growing credibility within Qatar’s tech ecosystem.

According to CEO Tamer Raafat, the funds will support technology scaling, market alignment, strategic hiring, and new government partnerships.

With this support, we are advancing our ambition to build a smart logistics platform serving both businesses and consumers across MENA.

Hamad Mubarak Al-Hajri, CEO of GrowthX and Snoonu, added:

ShipBee’s vision is deeply aligned with Qatar’s digital ambitions. We’re excited to help accelerate their journey in becoming a regional logistics technology leader.
