Qlik, a global leader in data integration, quality, analytics, and artificial intelligence, has announced the launch of a new AWS cloud region in the Middle East, reinforcing its commitment to support public and private sector organizations in their AI-powered digital transformation journey—while ensuring full data sovereignty and regulatory compliance.

As governments and enterprises in the region accelerate AI strategies and tighten data residency regulations, this new infrastructure addresses a critical need for high-performance, compliant, and scalable solutions.

Key advantages of Qlik’s new AWS cloud region include:

  • Ensuring data sovereignty: Sensitive data remains within national borders, adhering to local compliance frameworks.
  • Reduced latency, enhanced performance: Local data storage ensures faster analytics and AI model training.
  • Scalable AI enablement: Access to Qlik’s intelligent automation, analytics, and data integration tools drives smarter and faster decision-making.

“AI is a strategic priority for economic diversification in the Middle East,” said Tejas Mehta, SVP & GM, MEA, Qlik. “But AI is only as powerful as the data it’s built on. With our new AWS cloud region, customers can confidently adopt AI-driven analytics while keeping their data within region—ensuring compliance, security, and better performance.”

The new cloud region will deliver:

  • Qlik Analytics: A complete suite of AI-driven analytics tools.
  • Qlik Talend Cloud®: Smooth data flow between apps, cloud stores, and AI models.
  • Qlik AutoML® and AI-powered automation: Fast-track predictive and prescriptive analytics.

According to PwC, nearly 70% of Middle East companies plan to migrate most operations to the cloud within two years. Meanwhile, Telecom Advisory Services estimates public cloud will contribute $733 billion to MENA economies by 2033.

Qlik’s expansion strengthens the region’s ambition to become a global AI hub, offering local infrastructure, stronger partnerships, and broader access to cutting-edge technologies.
