The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has kicked off the inaugural edition of its Invest‑IT program in collaboration with Flat6Labs, featuring pitches from 15 Egyptian tech startups across the Seed and Pre‑Series A stages.
Held under the banner of the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), the program aims to prepare ICT startups from across Egypt’s governorates for successful fundraising rounds, equipping them to scale operations and contribute to the nation’s digital economy.
The launch event was attended by Eng. Ahmed El‑Zaher, ITIDA’s CEO; Hany Al‑Sonbaty, Founder and Chairman of Flat6Labs; Dina El‑Shenoufy, CIO at Flat6Labs; and Lamiaa El‑Rashidy, Incubation Manager at TIEC.
El‑Zaher emphasized, “Invest‑IT marks a strategic milestone in empowering startups at their most critical phase—investment readiness. Our holistic approach stretches from seeding innovation in universities and expanding Digital Egypt Innovation Hubs (Creativa), to upskilling talent and facilitating access to capital through private‑sector partnerships.”
Participating startups span AI, fintech, digital health, and e‑commerce solutions. The Seed cohort includes The White Guard (cybersecurity PPE), Dragify (AI for finance), HNDL (fleet management), Skoolix (digital learning), among others. The Pre‑Series A group features companies such as Valify (AI‑based identity verification), Mrkoon (waste management marketplace), Qubefyn (AI data analytics), and more.
The program unfolds in two phases: intensive workshops and mentorship followed by investor matchmaking to secure growth capital.
