Muscat, Oman – ITHCA Group, in partnership with global technology firm Yango Group, has successfully acquired Otaxi, the leading Omani mobility platform, to officially launch the Yango ecosystem in Oman.
This strategic move is designed to bring advanced digital solutions and AI-driven services to the Sultanate, supporting Oman’s Vision 2040 and its ambition to accelerate digital transformation and achieve sustainable economic growth over the long term.
The acquisition is part of a broader initiative by ITHCA Group and Yango Group to upgrade Otaxi’s technical infrastructure in close coordination with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT).
Together, the groups are working to enhance service speed, precision, accessibility, and scalability with the aim of expanding Otaxi’s operations to all governorates in Oman and diversifying its service offerings to include home delivery, vehicle rental services, smart maps, and additional solutions. These enhancements are intended to elevate Otaxi’s performance to global standards and reinforce Oman’s status as a digitally advanced economy.
