South African home energy management innovator Plentify has won the 2024 Project of the Year Award from EEP Africa, recognizing its innovative technology and significant impact in addressing Africa’s energy challenges.
Plentify is a smart energy company that makes electricity affordable, reliable, and clean for everyone by integrating advanced hardware, artificial intelligence, and user-centric design.
The company’s product suite connects to home appliances, helping them save energy at optimal times.
This ensures that appliances deliver required services efficiently, achieves significant savings on energy bills through improved efficiency, and increases energy use during clean energy periods while reducing it during shortages.
With catalytic early-stage funding from the Energy and Environment Partnership Trust Fund (EEP Africa), Plentify’s Project Smart Geyser demonstrated how intelligent geyser control can enable a more affordable, reliable, and clean energy system in South Africa.
