Qatari health-tech company Lillia, specializing in artificial intelligence-driven healthcare solutions, has secured a $1.7 million grant from the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council.
The grant will support the development of a digital twin technology focused on real-time monitoring and prediction of chronic health conditions. Lillia plans to utilize the funding to expand its presence across the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia over the next two years.
Founded in 2020 by Sujit Chakrabarty, Lillia emerged in its current form in 2024 following a merger between Qatar-based Droobi Health and India’s Smit.fit.
The company provides an AI-powered platform complemented by specialized coaches, including doctors, nutritionists, and psychologists, creating personalized care programs tailored to individual lifestyles.
Since its inception, Lillia has successfully supported over 40,000 people managing diabetes and weight-related conditions in the Gulf region and India.
