Yango has officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Etihad Rail at the Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, marking a pivotal step in integrating Yango’s on-demand ride-hailing solutions with the UAE’s national railway network, which is scheduled to launch in 2026.
The Etihad Rail network is set to connect 11 major cities across the Emirates, featuring trains capable of speeds up to 200 km/h and accommodating up to 400 passengers per train. By 2030, the network is expected to serve approximately 36.5 million riders annually, establishing itself as one of the region’s most ambitious and transformative transport infrastructure projects.

Through this collaboration, passengers will be able to plan and book end-to-end journeys, whether by purchasing rail tickets directly through the Yango app or by reserving Yango rides via Etihad Rail’s digital platforms.
