Dubai-based fintech startup Metric has announced the successful closing of a new funding round of undisclosed value, aimed at strengthening its AI capabilities and expanding its footprint across regional and global markets.
The round attracted strong participation from leading investors, including Sanabil 500 Global, Hub71, i2i Ventures, Plus VC, Epic Angels, and Accelerate Prosperity, alongside notable angel investors.
Founded in Dubai in 2022 by Meenah Tariq and Omar Parvez Khan, Metric provides small business owners with streamlined access to financial services and funding through its AI-powered marketplace.
Its flagship product, Max, is the world’s first AI-driven virtual Chief Financial Officer (CF-AI). Max integrates with accounting systems, operational platforms, and bank accounts to deliver real-time insights, forecasts, and growth opportunities.
In an interview with Inc. Arabia, Co-founder & CEO Meenah Tariq emphasized that Metric addresses a major gap between entrepreneurs and their financial data. She highlighted how traditional accounting tools are designed for compliance rather than growth, whereas Metric simplifies complex data into actionable insights for better decision-making.
The new investment will accelerate Metric’s AI development and enable the company to expand across the MENA region, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Tariq further noted that the future of financial AI depends on the quality and depth of the datasets used, adding that Metric’s proprietary $4.4 billion dataset across 190 markets is a key differentiator.
Today, Metric serves over 130,000 businesses in 190 countries, providing essential tools such as business debit cards, automated financial advice, and connections to funding opportunities—bridging a critical accessibility gap for SMEs in emerging markets.
