Techne Summit today announced the launch of Egypt Innovation Week 2025, marking a major milestone in the nation’s journey towards technological advancement and entrepreneurship, through a community-driven initiative.
The announcement was made at a press conference hosted by the Embassy of Sweden in Cairo, with events scheduled to take place from September 26 to October 6, 2025, highlighting strong international partnerships supporting Egypt’s innovation landscape.
Ambassador Dag Juhlin-Dannfelt, Ambassador of Sweden to Cairo, stated:
“Sweden is consistently ranked among the world’s most innovative nations… we are proud to see Swedish companies such as Ericsson, Smart Eye, and Söderhub driving advancements in AI.”
He added:
“Through our collaboration with partners in Egypt, we aim to support Egypt’s growing innovation culture and foster connections to Sweden’s innovation ecosystem via the launch of Egypt Innovation Week and Techne Summits in Cairo and Alexandria.”
The week is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT), ITIDA, DETGD, and FEDCOC, bringing together 60,000 participants from 70 countries, 400 speakers, 250 investors, and 1,500 startups.
The program kicks off with the Annual Investors Congress on September 26, followed by the official opening at Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace on September 29. Key events include Capital Connect, Techne Summit Cairo, and the Biofuel: Science of Healing healthcare event on October 1.
The journey concludes with Techne Summit Alexandria at Bibliotheca Alexandrina from October 4-6, attracting local and global innovation leaders.

The summit features 130 workshops, 1-on-1 mentoring sessions, AI-powered matchmaking tools, exclusive networking nights, and 13 thematic tracks including EdTech, E-commerce, SportsTech, Gaming, HealthTech, FinTech, MediaTech, FoodTech, and LegalTech.
Key partners include Meta, Aria Ventures, Juhayna, DDS Technologies, and DXWand.
Meta’s partnership involves hosting a strategic AI policy roundtable and launching the Llama Design Drive – AI Agent Accelerator, showcasing 23 MENA startups on September 30 at Ghurnata Community Space.
