Anthropic has successfully completed a Series F fundraising round of $13 billion led by ICONIQ, bringing the company’s valuation to $183 billion post-money. The round was co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Lightspeed Venture Partners, alongside notable investors including BlackRock, Blackstone, General Atlantic, GIC, Qatar Investment Authority, and TPG.
According to Krishna Rao, CFO of Anthropic:
“From Fortune 500 companies to AI-native startups, our customers rely on Anthropic’s frontier models and platform products for their most important, mission-critical work. We are seeing exponential growth in demand across our entire customer base. This financing demonstrates investors’ extraordinary confidence in our financial performance and the strength of their collaboration with us to continue fueling our unprecedented growth.”
Anthropic’s rapid rise since the launch of Claude in March 2023 has been extraordinary. By early 2025, its run-rate revenue reached $1 billion, and by August 2025 surged to over $5 billion, positioning Anthropic among the fastest-growing technology companies in history. Today, the company serves over 300,000 business customers, with large accounts growing nearly 7x in one year.
Claude Code, launched fully in May 2025, has already generated $500 million in run-rate revenue, with usage expanding more than 10x in just three months. Meanwhile, the Claude Pro and Max plans continue to empower individual users with advanced AI capabilities for both everyday tasks and specialized projects.
Commenting on the investment, Divesh Makan, Partner at ICONIQ, said:
“Anthropic is on an exceptional trajectory, combining research excellence, technological leadership, and relentless focus on customers. We’re honored to partner with Dario and the team, and our lead investment in their Series F reflects our belief in their values and their ability to shape the future of responsible AI.”
The Series F funding will further strengthen Anthropic’s ability to meet rising enterprise demand, expand safety research, and accelerate international growth.
