CICC Capital, the private equity investment arm of China International Capital Corporation (CICC), has announced a strategic partnership with BlueFive Capital, a global investment platform originating from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This collaboration aims to launch a specialized investment fund targeting leading Chinese companies operating in new economy sectors, with a particular focus on expanding their footprint across GCC markets.

The newly formed fund will concentrate on high-growth sectors such as technology, digital transformation, green energy, advanced manufacturing, and consumer-driven industries that are reshaping global markets. The GCC region will serve as a key gateway for Chinese firms to access local markets, while also acting as a launchpad for their broader global expansion, all within the regulatory framework of CICC Capital.

This strategic collaboration leverages BlueFive Capital’s deep expertise in cross-border alternative investments and its extensive network across the Middle East and Asia, combined with CICC Capital’s unique access to China’s private equity ecosystem and institutional capabilities. The partnership is currently non-exclusive and conducted in good faith, with both parties negotiating the final agreements, including the fund structure, capital commitments, and investment strategy.

Commenting on the partnership, Shan Junbao, Chairman of CICC Capital, said:

“CICC Capital is committed to fostering cross-border partnerships that drive sustainable growth. Together with BlueFive Capital, we can access a wide range of markets and broaden our presence in high-potential new economy sectors. This partnership enables us to identify and scale innovative companies that are shaping the future.”

Hazem Ben-Gacem, Founder and CEO of BlueFive Capital, added:

“This partnership with CICC Capital reflects our mission to connect ambitious capital with transformative opportunities. Emerging markets are engines of the global economy, and by aligning BlueFive Capital’s GCC capabilities with CICC Capital’s proven track record in scaling innovation into manufacturing, we aim to deliver exceptional value to investors and accelerate the growth of tomorrow’s industry leaders.”

CICC Capital currently manages approximately RMB 450 billion (USD 62 billion) in assets across private equity and fund-of-funds strategies, while BlueFive Capital oversees USD 2.6 billion in assets under management, with offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, London, Manama, and Beijing.
