Infra automation startup Enlite has raised $5 million (Rs 46 crore) in its maiden institutional funding round, led by Avaana Capital. The round also saw participation from Claypond Capital, the family office of Manipal Group chairman Ranjan Pai.

Founded in 2017 by Gaurav Bali and Garima Bharadwaj, Enlite provides a cloud-based automation system that uses thousands of algorithms to control various types of building equipment—based on geography, occupancy, external conditions, and other factors.

The company plans to use the funds to expand into West Asia and Southeast Asia, enhance its AI and data tracking capabilities, increase its presence across airports, data centers, public spaces, and hotels, and build teams to support sales and integration for business and government clients.

Swapna Gupta, Partner at Avaana Capital, said that Enlite is applying deep tech to transform how critical infrastructure is designed and operated. She noted that the team has developed purpose-built hardware with real-time intelligence and native interoperability to scale infrastructure management across sectors and geographies.

Since its commercial launch in 2022, Enlite’s technology has been deployed at over 70 enterprise sites, covering more than 25 million square feet. Its clients include Prestige Group, Fairmont Mumbai, REITs, GCC projects, and hospital networks. The company has filed three global patents and is currently testing a large language model (LLM) integrated into its hardware.
