Tali Ventures, the venture capital arm of stc Group, has acquired a minority stake in Saudi-based fintech Tarmeez Capital, a specialist in debt issuance and investment solutions. The move supports Tarmeez’s ambition to expand into corporate credit financing and aligns with stc Group’s broader innovation strategy.
According to Nasser Alsaadoun, CEO of Tarmeez Capital, the company expects to secure an asset management license later this year, enabling it to offer and manage credit financing for private companies. Alsaadoun also noted that an IPO is under consideration within the next three years.
Founded in 2022, Tarmeez Capital has already arranged SAR 2.3 billion in financing. The company is licensed by the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and operates under Islamic Sharia principles, offering sukuk investment opportunities while supporting the development of Saudi Arabia’s debt market.
This investment aligns with Tali Ventures’ mission to back emerging tech ventures that are compatible with stc’s digital transformation agenda. It follows previous investments in startups like Nile (networking solutions), Rawaa (inventory management), and Nearpay (digital payments).
The partnership is expected to accelerate Tarmeez Capital’s growth and contribute to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals by diversifying financial services and deepening the capital markets ecosystem.
