Abridge, a company specializing in AI-driven health technologies, has announced the closure of a $300 million Series E investment round, raising its valuation to $5.3 billion.
This follows its $250 million raise in February, when its valuation stood at $2.75 billion, marking a significant leap in a short four-month span.
The Series E round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Khosla Ventures. With this latest funding, Abridge has now raised a total of $800 million since it was founded in 2018 by Florian Metze, Sandeep Konam, and Shivdev Rao.
Abridge has developed an AI platform for physicians that automates medical data and clinical conversations, aiming to streamline the medical documentation process and help doctors create clinical notes more efficiently.
According to Abridge, the company has grown its customer base by 50% in the past four months, and its technology is now actively used in over 150 health systems worldwide.
