The World Economic Forum has announced its prestigious Technology Pioneers 2025 list, featuring 100 startups from 28 countries that are shaping the future of innovation across key sectors.
The list highlights a growing trend of leveraging AI to drive faster, more efficient growth with fewer resources.
The United States continues to dominate the list with 29 startups, followed by China and India, each with 10.
Since its inception in 2000, the program has honored over 1,200 pioneering startups, many of which have become global giants such as Google, PayPal, Dropbox, and SoundCloud.
Among this year’s selected pioneers are two startups from the Arab region:
- Intelmatix (Saudi Arabia )
Founded in 2021 by Anas Alfaris, Ph.D., Almaha Almalki, and Ahmad Alabdulkareem, Ph.D., Intelmatix is a deep tech company building the next generation of enterprise AI platforms using specialized AI agents. The platform serves as a digital brain for organizations—ingesting data, forecasting scenarios, recommending decisions, and orchestrating smart actions. - Thndr (Egypt )
Founded in 2020 by Ahmad Hammouda and Seif Amr, Thndr is a fintech startup offering a digital investment platform for retail users across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), with a mission to democratize access to investment and enhance financial literacy.
