Riyadh, June 14, 2025 – The Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) announced that its subsidiary, Thmanyah Publishing and Distribution, has been awarded the exclusive broadcast rights for Saudi football competitions in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region from the 2025/2026 season through 2030/2031.
The rights cover the King Cup, the Roshn Saudi Pro League, the Saudi Super Cup, and the First Division League (Yelo League). Matches will be aired through a two-pronged broadcast model — free-to-air satellite channels and subscription-based digital platforms offering enhanced features and interactive viewing experiences.
According to the Saudi Pro League, First Division League, and the Saudi Football Federation, the selection followed a competitive bidding process and was based on rigorous technical and financial criteria, including content quality, technical infrastructure, distribution capabilities, and alignment with strategic goals to amplify media exposure and ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Broadcasting will officially commence with the Saudi Super Cup in Hong Kong in August 2025, featuring top-tier clubs including Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Ittihad, and Al Qadsiah. Preparations are already underway with production teams being mobilized for a world-class broadcast experience.
This landmark agreement is a cornerstone of the broader strategic vision to elevate Saudi football globally, enhance audience engagement, and provide clubs with stronger revenue streams. It marks a new chapter in sports media innovation in the region.
