Algeria | June 4, 2025 — DeepMinds™ has officially launched the first national Venture Building Championship (VBC) in Algeria, a bold initiative to discover and empower university students to become next-generation venture builders and innovators.
Held under the DeepMinds League, a multi-championship venture-building platform, the VBC is designed to train over 10,000 students from more than 100 universities across Algeria in the full journey of building impactful ventures—from idea to investment readiness.
Unlike traditional startup competitions, VBC simulates the complete venture-building experience: forming teams, identifying real-world problems, developing solutions, reaching users, and preparing for fundraising—equipping students with real-world innovation skills.
Dr. Abdenour Haddou, CEO of DeepMinds Technology, stated:
“This championship is not about dreaming, it’s about doing. It equips the next generation to build and scale ventures that matter.”
Mr. Ramzi Chalal, Director of the National Venture Studio Program at DeepMinds, added:
“The DeepMinds League is an essential tool to discover and grow top venture builders. We’re excited to see a new generation shape the future of our economy.”
The championship was announced during the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) meeting, marking a key milestone in the program’s national rollout.
Over the next five months, the competition will proceed through:
- Build & Battle Days (University qualifiers)
- Regional Sprints & Semifinals
- National Final Showdown in October at DeepMinds’ flagship event
Finalists will gain access to DeepMinds’ venture-building resources, networks, and global scale-up clusters.
Applications are now open, and DeepMinds invites universities, partners, and stakeholders to collaborate in shaping Algeria’s innovation-driven future.
