Tunisian AgriTech startup Kumulus Water has successfully raised $3.5 million in a Seed funding round led by Flat6Labs, Khalys Venture, Plus VC, and Bpifrance.

Kumulus Water specializes in developing Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs) that convert air into safe and clean drinking water, offering a sustainable and decentralized solution for water-scarce regions lacking reliable infrastructure.

The company plans to leverage this funding to accelerate the launch of its new high-capacity production line, “Kumulus Box”, designed for industrial and community use. It also aims to expand its presence in France, Spain, and Tunisia, while focusing on growth in Saudi Arabia, a market in urgent need of sustainable water solutions.

Kumulus’ AWGs operate by drawing ambient air through a circular inlet, filtering out pollutants and particles, then cooling and condensing the air to simulate natural dew formation. Each unit can produce 20 to 30 liters of drinking water per day, powered by either electricity or solar energy.

The system is fully autonomous and remotely controllable via a mobile or web application, allowing users to monitor production, receive maintenance alerts, and adjust settings based on local weather conditions
