Werover has secured a $1.7 million investment in a new funding round led by Qatar-based Alchemist Doha, to scale up its wind turbine blade monitoring technology globally.

According to information shared by Werover, the round included investors such as Kerim Kotan, Cleantech Ventures, Erdem Holding, Ata Akça, Founder One, Burcu Planet, and Yalın Karadoğan.

Founded in Turkey in 2018, Werover moved its HQ to London and set its sights on European market growth. The company had previously received $350,000 in investment in May 2023.

Werover provides SaaS-based solutions for wind turbine blade health monitoring. The system uses a small device installed on turbine towers that collects acoustic data, analyzes it with AI algorithms, detects damage in real-time, and shares results via an application to enable timely maintenance.

Within just 1.5 years, the company completed over 400 installations. The new funding will be used to increase field deployments in Europe, accelerate tech development, and boost its global market presence.

Balca Yilmaz, CEO of Werover, said the company will now focus on scaling the number of installations and customers in Europe, and expressed excitement about contributing to wind energy fields in different regions.
