Saudi Arabia has officially become the world’s fastest-growing startup ecosystem, according to the 2025 StartupBlink Global Report, which ranked the Kingdom first globally in growth, with a rate exceeding 200%.
This major leap reflects Saudi Arabia’s leadership in digital innovation and is a testament to the unified national efforts from the National Program for the Development of Information Technology, government, private sector, and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Key insights from the report include:

- #1 in the MENA region in e-commerce.
- #2 globally in insurance tech, logistics, delivery applications, and fintech.

- Jumped 27 positions, surpassing Turkey in the global index.
- Riyadh entered the top 100 cities worldwide and recorded the highest growth rate of 134% among them.
The report also highlighted fintech, e-commerce, and data/software as Saudi Arabia’s strongest startup sectors. Out of 2,068 local tech startups, three were identified as unicorns (companies valued over $1 billion).
