Pony.ai and Uber have announced a strategic partnership to deploy autonomous Robotaxis by Pony.ai on the Uber platform across key markets in the Middle East, marking a pivotal step toward the future of intelligent mobility.
The partnership is expected to launch later this year in a major Middle Eastern market, with expansion planned to additional international locations. During the pilot phase, a safety operator will be present in the vehicles, paving the way for full commercial autonomy.
This development marks a critical phase in Pony.ai’s global expansion strategy, as it capitalizes on its integrated ecosystem to demonstrate strong technological readiness. The company’s seventh-generation autonomous driving system enables mass production of Robotaxis in a more scalable and cost-effective manner.
