Rise of Fearless, a UAE-based mobile gaming platform blending African storytelling with battle royale gameplay, has launched a $700K funding round to expand its mobile presence and transition into a Web3-powered digital ecosystem.
Now available in early access on the Apple App Store and Google Play, Rise of Fearless aims to expand to additional platforms. Rooted in Africa’s cultural legacy and inspired by Ethiopia’s Battle of Adwa, the game offers free-to-play access to ensure wide reach.
As part of its roadmap, the platform will integrate open-source smart contracts, allowing players to own in-game digital assets like weapons, skins, and rewards — creating a fair, transparent, and financially rewarding experience.
Founder Kanessa Muluneh commented:
“As an Ethiopian-born entrepreneur in Dubai, I’ve seen how the UAE ecosystem empowers changemakers and connects cultures. This funding will let us build a Web3 gaming environment where players truly own their digital assets and unlock new opportunities across Africa.”
Africa’s gaming market is growing at 12% annually, with over 680 million mobile users, and is projected to reach $3.72 billion by 2029.
