Cairo – Intro Group, an Egyptian investment company, has signed an agreement to acquire a stake in ADVEC, a leading engineering consultancy specializing in energy, power systems analysis, and advanced technical solutions powered by artificial intelligence (AI).
This strategic acquisition is part of Intro Group’s expansion into sustainable energy and digital transformation, reinforcing Egypt’s ambitions to become a regional energy hub in line with Vision 2030.
The deal is designed to bolster the delivery of innovative, sustainable energy and IT solutions that align with governmental initiatives to increase renewable energy adoption, improve environmental sustainability, and optimize the use of natural resources.
Intro Group aims to leverage ADVEC’s extensive expertise to support projects that enhance energy efficiency through AI-driven digital solutions and data analytics, advance power systems consultancy for better grid performance and stability, and drive renewable energy projects. Additionally, the acquisition will help facilitate the use of IoT and digital analytics in the operations and maintenance of energy systems.
The acquisition was formalized in Cairo with the signatures of Ayman Mahmoud Abbas, Chairman of Intro Group, and Ahmed Salam, CEO of ADVEC, in the presence of senior executives from both companies and key industry figures. Abbas commented, “This acquisition marks a strategic milestone in our journey toward expanding our presence in the energy sector. He further explained that Intro Group’s investment focuses on several critical pillars: enhancing energy efficiency with AI-driven solutions, optimizing electrical grid performance, supporting renewable energy initiatives, and implementing state-of-the-art IoT and digital analytics in energy operations.
