Khalid N. Abu Theeb

Eng. Khalid N. Abu Theeb serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Coffee Company, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), leading one of the Kingdom’s most strategic ventures aimed at developing and globalizing Saudi Arabia’s coffee industry. With more than 25 years of diversified experience across investment, trade, food industries, agriculture, and strategic development, he has established himself as a prominent leader driving national value creation and sectoral transformation.

Throughout his career, Eng. Khalid Abu Theeb has held multiple executive and board leadership positions across national and international companies. His expertise spans corporate strategy, industrial development, supply chain optimization, and sustainable agriculture, making him a key contributor to Saudi Arabia’s food security and agribusiness sectors. At the helm of Saudi Coffee Company, he oversees strategic initiatives to strengthen the Kingdom’s position in the global coffee value chain — from cultivation and production to innovation and export — aligning with the goals of Vision 2030 to diversify the economy and enhance non-oil industries.

In addition to his executive responsibilities, Eng. Khalid N. Abu Theeb plays a vital role in numerous boards, committees, and business councils, both locally and internationally. His current and previous roles include: • Vice Chairman, Saudi–Brazilian Business Council, Federation of Saudi Chambers. • Board Member, National Agricultural Development Company (NADEC). • Member, Audit Committee, National Agricultural Development Company. • Member, Federation of Saudi Chambers’ Committees for Business Councils and Trade Chambers. • Board Member, Al-Khomasia Group. • Member, Audit Committee, Al-Khomasia Group. • Member, Executive Committee, Saudi Coffee Company. • Chairman, Green Environment World Company. • Board Member, Riyadh Chamber (Food & Catering Committee and Agriculture & Water Committee). • Board Member, National Agricultural Committee. • Member, Saudi–Iraqi Business Council. • Member, Saudi–Sudanese Business Council.
Eng. Khalid N. Abu Theeb holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science from King Saud University, and a Higher Diploma in Industrial Management. He has also completed several executive education programs at leading global institutions including IMD Business School and Columbia Business School, enhancing his expertise in strategic leadership and corporate governance.
Under his leadership, Saudi Coffee Company continues to advance its mission of building a sustainable, globally competitive coffee ecosystem rooted in the Kingdom’s rich agricultural heritage. Eng. Khalid’s strategic vision, combined with his multidisciplinary experience, is shaping the company into a national champion driving innovation, localization, and export development—positioning Saudi Arabia as a rising player in the global coffee industry.
